Wontonimo: a* is your friend here, as is flood fill
Wontonimo: for ? areas, you can do two things : assume they are open space until you are proven otherwise, or assume it is costly open space, like maybe 1.5 units of movement instead of 1, to represent the risk factor

Synergyforge: I was on the right track by trending toward the most ?, but for one of the tests, it got stuck going up and down in the middle over and over. lul.
Synergyforge: I didn't progress beyond that so now I'm starting over with a new concept
Synergyforge: Didn't get to the point of identifying the char at current location and finding the way back yet because I still hadn't worked in pathfinding beyond just "look around, and pick a direction, to make sure we don't hit a wall," basically.
